What's New
Are you a vegetarian, vegan, or interested in vegetarianism and are living in the Daytona Beach area? If so, then this group is just what you have been looking for. The Daytona Beach Vegetarian Society is a community-based group for those in Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, Deltona, and all of Volusia County.

Join the Daytona Beach Vegetarian Society and meet up with other vegetarians in the area. You'll get a chance to mingle with like-minded people and eat some great tasting vegetarian food.

Whether you are a family of five or are single you are welcome to join the group! The members of this group are share a common interest - vegetarianism.

 T he Daytona Beach Vegetarian Society's mission is to bring together those vegetarians that are living in the Volusia County area. Join here.

Through this group you should hopefully:

 

  • Find other vegetarians in your community
  • Dine out with other vegetarians
  • Share tips and info on local vegetarian-friendly restaurants and stores
  • Hold events dedicated to vegetarianism
  • Share vegetarian recipes
  • Did we mention meet other vegetarians?

You can join the group by simply signing up at meetup. There is no cost to sign up, you simply need a meetup account (which is free). The meetup group will allow us to coordinate events, etc. Join here.

We've compiled a list of vegetarian friendly restaurants, health food stores and farmer's markets in the area. Check it out and let us know if you know of others to add to the list! We are also in the process of building a restaurant review area.

If you are looking for ways to contribute, we salute you! We'd love some help in the area of:

  • Getting exposure for the group to bring other vegetarians together
  • Writing detailed local restaurant and store reviews to let other vegetarians know where to eat and shop (by review, we mean an actual short piece 250 words or so that we can post with you telling about why it's a good place)
  • Hosting a vegan potluck at your home

The more people that join and get involved the better the group will be. And the better the vegetarian community as a whole will be. Strengthen and come together.
